The Problem
Drug rehab companies rely on data collection and analysis companies like Tetra Outcomes to provide easy-to-understand information to improve their services. Tetra Outcomes needed a solution to streamline collection and analysis processes while maintaining the required confidentiality for HIPAA policy. The eventual solution to help them grow was a custom SaaS development project headed by Idea Maker.
SaaS Development
Software as a Service is a type of program that allows a company to pay for the services offered by the software, creating a more efficient process for their business operations. By outsourcing the data collection and analysis to Tetra Outcomes, the drug rehab programs can focus on the primary goal of their services, helping people work through their addiction.
Our Solution
Idea Maker has a handful of specialized teams that work on different types of problems. SaaS Development is one of the specialties for the Idea Maker team, so they were eager to take on this project’s challenges.
The Idea Maker team got to work creating a program that would allow for confidential or anonymous data collection options that gathered information using a consistent survey across the board for data accuracy. There are two surveys given to clients, one if for the provider and one is for the patient. This way, the data can be collected from both sides of the field to improve the services rendered.
Idea Maker worked closely with the Tetra Outcomes team to figure out the best option for their final goals. The SaaS path was the closest match to their needs, and we got to work on it immediately. We are proud to partner with teams that have dreams. Contact us today to discuss your company needs and how our team can help you find the perfect solution to your software or website challenges.
What We Did
SaaS Application Development
Idea Maker built Tetra Outcomes a custom SaaS application that could handle surveys and data from multiple drug rehabilitation centers. Since each center would be in a different location and was run by a different organization, the SaaS application had to be easy to understand by anyone.
Idea Maker built a custom, user-friendly system that would anonymize the data. Choosing SaaS application development for Tetra Outcomes was the right decision because it allowed them to also send notifications, create graphs, and compile data in a variety of formats helping the drug rehabilitation centers improve their services for their clients and staff members.
HIPAA Compliance
Drug treatment centers are healthcare centers and are under the same HIPAA: restrictions and regulations as your local doctor’s office. This ensures that the patient’s information isn’t leaked to someone who can use it for negative things. It also prevents judgment that may skew the patient’s treatment. Our programming is just as secure, if not more secure, than most medical records office programs.
Data Collection
Idea Maker wanted to make data collection easy for Tetra Outcomes. To do this we built a data collector for the surveys or questionnaires. The data collector built for Tetra Outcomes was able to collect anonymous results but also allowed clients to easily reset their passwords when unnecessary. The staff could also easily view data at their leisure.
Data Display
As Tetra Outcomes needs to review data, Idea Maker worked diligently to create a data display that worked for them. The data display allowed the staff the ability to view data in graphs and charts for easy consumption. The SaaS application would automatically calculate important data points and notate them on the graphs.
Notification System
Tetra Outcomes wanted to improve the survey response rates, so Idea Maker suggested that they use a notification system. Using both email and text notifications, we created a user-friendly way to improve responses. We used Twilio to send out notifications.
Separate Dashboards
One of the first things Idea Maker needed to do was create two separate dashboards for data collection. Tetra Outcomes gave these surveys to both patient and provider once a week. Each side of the interaction needed to be able to respond to the questions confidentially to avoid bias. Idea Maker created the third dashboard for Tetra Outcomes staff to be able to access and analyze the information as well. With this new resource, they can provide insight and assistance to more people and help create better services for patients.
Room for Growth
When Tetra Outcomes staff was trained on the new program, their entire operation process became much smoother. Their efficiency increased significantly, and they saw immediate success in the project. From the start, the project exceeded their expectations and opened up new growth opportunities.
