The Problem
A self-proclaimed military brat wanted to create a way for people, especially those from military families like hers, to create real-life friendships quickly. She wanted to create a social networking custom cross-platform app that integrated events and chat to help people connect with new friends on a deeper, more meaningful basis.
She wanted the platform that she created to not only be easy to use but to also be available to all people. What she needed was a custom cross-platform app. A cross-platform app would allow her social network to be used by both Apple (iOS) and Android users from around the world. Cross-platform app development would also help increase her chances of success.
She wanted her custom cross-platform app to include a method for even creation and a way to chat in real-time for new friendships to grow without having to give away personal information. She also needed a way for people to search a map for new friends and events near to them.

Our Solution
After going through the preliminary steps of Idea Maker’s app development process, our client, founder of Quick Friends, realized that we would need to integrate Google Maps into the custom cross-platform app for increased usefulness and improved user experience.

Idea Maker used the Google Maps API to help Quick Friends users easily find events near them in real-time. This functionality helped to ensure that users of the custom cross-platform app would be able to quickly make real friends.

The custom cross-platform app was also developed to allow users to chat with new friends using messaging in real-time. Users of the Quick Friends app can easily create single or group chats with anyone on the app. To help protect privacy, messages are only stored for a limited time.
Social Networking
Quick Friends is a custom cross-platform social networking app. To help build success for its creator, Idea Maker made sure to develop social networking features like friends lists, event creation and management, and the ability to block unwanted invites. This helped improve the user experience.
